Fractions

Fractions are a whole thing cut in equal pieces. 

A half is a whole thing cut into Two equal pieces 

 A third is a whole thing cut into three equal pieces.

A qaurter is a whole thing cut into four equal pieces. 

  Here are example of some other fractions.

Divison

Division is sharing objects amoung a number of groups. For example someone had 6 beans. Then the person shared them evenly to 2 people. Each person got 3 beans each.

We learned how to subtacion useing tidy numebers. I solved 64-7= ?

The nearest tidy number was 60 so i had to take away the 4 from the 64 to get 60 .

Then I Took away 3 from 60 then i got 57.

Then after we finshed the problems we chicked if it was right with scales
